Open House Festival

Updated: Oct 16

Discover Romanian art, the history of the building and Romania's 'camino' Via Transilvanica.

The Romanian Cultural Institute in London participated for the 13th consecutive year in this Open House Festival, which aimed to present the architectural heritage of the British capital. And this year we focused on Romania's unique biodiversity.

Visitors had the chance to explore our beautiful building and meet our special guest, Alin Useriu co-founder of Via Transilvanica, a short film and an outdoor exhibition were the highlights of the almost 900-mile magical route of the Via Transilvanica through Romania, designed for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. Alin Useriu, a great storyteller, was happy to share the extraordinary journey of this acclaimed route, described as "the road that unites", which has received glowing reviews in the British press in recent months (links in comments).

Two other exhibitions were exhibited: "Interior Landscapes" by Bogdan Mihai Radu and our own exhibition about the history of our beautiful building.

Over the five days, we were delighted to welcome cohorts of visitors as part of the Open House Festival 2025.
